Annika Kuhlmann (*1985) is an artist and curator based in Berlin and London. She is the founder of two art ventures, Special Service and Brace Brace, with exhibitions at MoMa Warsaw (PL), LD50 (UK), Auto Italia (UK), KM Temporär (DE) and for DIS (US). She has recently collaborated with artist Christopher Kulendran Thomas on the presentations of his long-term project ‘New Eelam’ for the 9th Berlin Biennale and the 11th Gwangju Biennale. Together with curator Anna Frost she founded planes.sx which launched with an exhibition at BFI in December 2015. After studying at Columbia University, New York, she completed her Masters with Professor Siegfried Zielinski at the Institute for Time-Based Media, University of Art, Berlin. She has written on art and organised exhibitions for multiple institutions including C/O Berlin (DE) and Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin.
