Brett Hunter is an artist, educator, and facilitator living in Hornell, NY. He teaches courses in research-based, contextual, and social practice in the Sculpture/ Dimensional Studies Division at Alfred University, where he is dedicated to bringing students out of the school and into the street. Dedicated to the role of art in rural communities and supporting committed citizens in shaping the places they live, he is currently the director of the Hornell Community Arts Center and co-founder (with Angie To) of Broadway Union, an arts programing organization and set of physical spaces linking artists and their work with the varied communities of Hornell. He works as a part of two collaboratives: Like Riding a Bicycle with Katie Hargrave and Ghost and Robot with Andrew Oesch.
