Chana B. Sheldon has been the Executive Director of Locust Projects, Miami’s longest running experimental, not-for-profit art space, since March 2009. There she has managed the organization's relocation from Wynwood to its current 5,000 square foot space in Miami's Design District. Sheldon has organized solo exhibitions with artists including Martha Friedman, Daniel Arsham, Theaster Gates, Ruben Ochoa, Francesca DiMattio, Jim Drain, Valerie Hegarty and Andy Coolquitt. She is responsible for Locust Projects' first public art program which has featured internationally renowned artist Liam Gillick, Martine Syms and Miami-based artist Agustina Woodgate.
Sheldon currently sits on the Miami Beach Art in Public Places Committee. Previously, she served as the Director of Casey Kaplan gallery in New York, where she worked from 2001 to 2008.
