Emiko Ono is a Program Officer in Performing Arts at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. In this role, she manages grants that support more than 80 arts organizations that reflect a wide range of disciplines, aesthetics, and communities that span the greater San Francisco Bay Area. She also manages a cluster of arts leadership grants that promote cross-generational leadership and a more equitable and sustainable arts sector. Prior to joining the foundation, she served as the director of grants and professional development at the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. She has also served in various roles at the Arts Council for Long Beach and Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Emiko holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and Bank Street College of Education in New York City. She currently serves on the advisory council for Fund the People, which works to ensure funders invest in a well-supported, diverse, and sustainable nonprofit workforce.
