Nancy Uyemura, an artist, living and working on the edge of Little Tokyo in the Artist district of downtown Los Angeles. She has her BA from UCLA and MS from USC and studied in Japan and at Otis Art Institute. Her background in Art and Education has led her to work both in the educational arena and also the corporate arena where she was Director of Visual Communications for Mrs. Gooch’s Markets for many years. Her work has been shown both in Japan and Korea as well as in the U.S. and she has several public commissions in California and one in Japan. Currently she is painting, writing and doing feng shui consulting, and is active with the Little Tokyo Historical Society.
