About Noe

Noé Gaytán is an artist, writer, curator, and educator. His recent work, Insti-tuitional Critique, an alchemy experiment that seeks to use the skills and knowledge gained in art school to turn pictures of money into actual money. More broadly, the project explores what it means to take on student loans for an art degree when the life of an artist can be so precarious. Noe is interested in critical pedagogy and art education as tools for social change and is currently bringing his ideas on those subjects into practice as an educator at the Brooklyn Museum.
